Why do my burps taste like Filet O' Fish?

Here's the deal. It's my birthday. I woke up late and had a cup of coffee. I went to work. I purchased the traditional celebratory dozen donuts from the local purveyor of pastries and other sugared fineries.
I then proceeded to work. As soon as I got to my office, I set the box down and grabbed one of the jelly-filled confections for myself. I then drank another cup of coffee as I consumed a delicious looking maple donut.
Then I burped.
It tasted like Filet O' Fish. Where did that come from? I've not had fish in days! Tartar sauce has not passed my lips in months. I've barely sniffed the briney air of the ocean, yet this!
How! How does coffee + jelly donut + coffee + maple donut = Filet O' Fish!
